Omagh St. Enda’s U10.5 Boys Visit Brewster Park

Saturday Morning saw Omagh St. Enda’s U10.5’s in Brewster Park

A great morning of football was enjoyed on Saturday, with the rain just about holding off our U10.5 and U9.5 boys mixed it up to play a few games against Omagh. Each club put together 3 teams who each played each other in 15 minute games. The games were played in a great spirit with loads of talent on display. The future is looking bright for the “Townies”.

The visit also marked the 60th anniversary of St. Enda’s winning the 1963 Tyrone Senior Championship. That team has strong links to Enniskillen Gaels with two of our U10.5 players having grandfathers who played. After the matches Finn Brewster and Noah McEnhill were presented with a photograph of the 1963 team which included their grandfathers Mick Brewster and Niall McEnhill.  The connections do not stop there as Thady Turbett senior, an Omagh and Tyrone GAA legend, was also a member of the team. His grandson Tadgh is a player for our U13 boys.
