This weekend saw our U11 and U15 boys football teams in league action while the U14 Girls footballers played a challenge game.
Under 11 Boys
2 of the 3 U11 boys teams were in league action this weekend. Braving the elements both P6 teams were victorious against Ederney on Saturday and against Erne Gaels on Sunday morning. Some great skills were on display in both games and as you can see from their faces they weren’t phased by a bit of wind and rain!
Under 15 Boys
The U15 boys travelled to Teemore for their round 2 league match. They put on a great display in very challenging conditions. The game hinged on a 10 minute spell in the second-half when the Gaels, facing into a fierce wind, lost the lead and slipped behind to a strong Teemore team. While there was obvious disappoint amongst the boys Lorcan and his team were very encouraged by what they saw and there are so many positives to take from the day. The boys travel to Newtownbutler next week for round 3 of the league.
Under 14 Girls
Our U14 girls braved awful weather this Sunday afternoon for their first challenge match hosted by Shannon Gaels, a great afternoon of football. Our girls won 2-6 to 1-14. Thanks to Shannon for their hospitality.
