Club notes 19th May 2025
Good wins for the senior men and reserves against Belcoo and Kinawley last week. This week the senior team travel to Kinawley on Friday evening for an 8pm start and the reserves are at home to Irvinestown on Saturday evening at 6.30pm. Come along and show your support if you can.
The senior ladies had a free week last week but are back out on Sunday morning with a trip to Kinawley at 10am.
Congratulations to our u16 hurlers who took part in the Tain Og Division 3 shield finals at the weekend in Belnaleck. The boys won against North Armagh Hurling club in the semi-final before going on to beat the hosts in the final.
Many thanks to everyone who took part in Gaels on the Green on Friday. The event was a huge success due in no small part to the weather, the magnificent Lough Erne course and the work that the organising committee put in. Thank you to all the players, volunteers and sponsors especially our main event sponsor FP McCann.
The Gaels summer camp is now open for booking on the club website. For children aged 5-13 this is a week of sport, arts and crafts with something for everybody. Running from 18th – 22nd August this is always a popular event and early booking is recommended.
This year we are also running a boot camp aimed at 11-14 year olds and running from 11th – 15th August. The boot camp will have a focus on athletic development, Pilates yoga, strength and conditioning, injury prevention and running techniques. Places are limited and booking is open now, again go to the club website for details. 11th – 15th August.
Lotto numbers for this week 17,22,26,27 we had no Jackpot winner. £6700 Jackpot this week. £20 winners were Gerry Davey, Marie McGovern and Cathy McGuinness. Tickets available from all usual outlets and online at Klubfunder.
