Weekend Youth Round-Up 16th April

A busy week for our young Gaels with the Easter camp and a number of challenge and league matches taking place.

 Under 10.5 Boys Football

Another successful weekend for the P6 boys teams who had wins over Belleek & Ederney

Under 11.5 Girls Football

The U11.5 girls travelled to Donagh on Saturday another game and more experience for this new team.

Under 15 Boys

Our Under 15 Boys played away to Derrygonnelly on Sunday afternoon in round 5 of the league. They just missed out in a 4:12 to 3:12 defeat. This was a much improved performance and it’s clear that the hard work on the training pitch is paying off. A challenge match against Ballyshannon awaits on Thursday evening.

Under 16 Ladies Football

A special mention to our four representatives for Fermanagh U16 ladies in the Ulster Championship again Derry on Saturday. Kerri Roche, Kellie McAnespy, Aoibhin Kelly and Ciara O’Donnell. Although the result was a little disappointing the experience gained will be invaluable going forward. Well done girls and keep up the good work!

Easter Camp

The Easter camp got underway on Thursday after bad weather forecasts forced us to cancel the first day. Thursday and Friday were extended and thankfully the sun shone for us (in between the showers). The kids had great fun over the two days and were lucky to have a few special visitors.

Thank you to Fermanagh Senior team members Sean McNally, Darragh McGurn and Josh Largo-Ellis who took time out to meet the kids and sign a few jerseys. They created quite a buzz, almost as exciting as the ice cream van arriving! Thanks also go out to Fergal Quinn and his team of  coaches &mentors without whom these events would not be possible, it’s great to see these guys giving something back to the club by being so generous with their time.
