Club Notes June 19

June 19th, 2017 | Club notes

Pride of place this week goes to our minors who secured the MFL Division One title with a 2-14 to 1-10 victory over Derrygonnelly in Brewster Park on Saturday night. Congratulations to the management and players.

The Feile na nOg take place this weekend and we would like to offer a very warm Enniskille Gaels welcome to our visiting U14 teams from St. Patrick’s Mayobridge (Down) and St. Colm’s Ballinascreen Ladies (Derry) who arrive in Enniskillen this Friday, June 23.

A huge welcome also to the parents from both clubs who are travelling to support their youth teams, we are looking forward to welcoming you all to Brewster Park.

A thank you also goes to our U14 Teams and parents for their support in the preparations that will make this a successful weekend.

Good luck to all boys and girls taking part in this year’s competition.

Our U14 Ladies campaign starts in Garrison at 4pm on Friday, and our boys in Derrygonnelly at 6:30pm. Both teams will play home games on Brewster Park on Saturday 24th at 10am and 11am respectively, with the boys remaining at Brewster for their Quarter Final game, and the Ladies travelling to Lissan.

There will be a disco in the Scout Hall on Saturday evening and music in the clubhouse on Saturday night to mark the occasion.

Please come along and show your support for both our U14 teams and our visitors from Mayobridge and Ballinascreen, and make it an event to remember.

Good luck to Ryan, Paddy and Simon and the Fermanagh players and management in their All Ireland Qualifier against Armagh in the Athletic Grounds on Sunday evening.

Our seniors were beaten narrowly by Derrylin on Friday night in SFL Division Two.

Well done to Odhran O’Connor, Feidlim O’Connor and Jack Tierney who were part of the Fermanagh U17 hurling squad that progressed through to the final of the Corn Tom Hogan Celtic Challenge. They defeated Leitrim on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-11 in Carrick-on-Shannon.

They now face neighbours Tyrone in the All Ireland final this Saturday in Dr Cullen Park, Carlow. Good luck to all involved.

The Friday night coaching for kids from nursery up to P4 continues this Friday night from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. For anybody who has yet to register, this can be completed this Friday night at the clubhouse.

U10 and U12 training continues on Monday nights, everybody is welcome to attend.
