Club Notes December 12

December 12th, 2016 | Club notes

Good luck to our minor players and management when they take on Burren in the Ulster Club Minor Football Championship at St. Paul’s this Sunday at 1.30pm. Come along and give your support to the team.

We are honoured that club stalwart Greg Kelly has been elected as Chairman of the Fermanagh County Board. Greg has given many years service to both club and county and no doubt will be a big success in his new position. Congratulations Greg from all at Enniskillen Gaels.

We held our AGM on Sunday and following the election of Officers we are delighted to welcome John Quinn, James Reihill and Kevin Lavelle to our club Executive.

There was also a number of people standing down and we thank them all for their service to the club over the past number of years. We would especially like to thank John Murphy who is stepping down after serving the club in one role or another for the past 37 years and Declan McCaughey for who stepped down from the post of Secretary.

Santa was in attendance with his elf at the clubhouse last Saturday for the Children’s Christmas Party. Many thanks to those who assisted on the day and to the parents and children who attended.

Lines are available in the clubhouse for the Christmas draw. The draw will take place in the clubhouse on Saturday night. Light refreshments will be served on the night.

National Draw tickets are still available and we would ask our members to support this.

The club would like to offer our condolences to the Carlton family on the death of Joe Carlton. We would also like to offer our condolences to the McGrath and Morris families on the death of Maureen McGrath.

The lotto numbers for last week were 6, 15, 25, 27. There was no outright winner. The three £20 consolation winners were Geraldine Gunn, Niall Cox and Anita McTiernan. The jackpot now sits at £10,000.
